Stamped Concrete
Decorative texture and colour pressed into fresh concrete for a stone or slate look in one continuous slab.
Stamped concrete gives you the look of cut stone or slate with the continuous surface of a poured slab. Pattern, base colour and release colour are chosen together at the estimate.
Stamping is time-sensitive work. The crew has a narrow window to place, colour, stamp and detail before the concrete sets, so the layout and stamp sequence are planned in advance.

Pattern and colour
Ashlar slate, seamless stone and running bond patterns are common choices in the GTA. Colour is achieved with integral colour or colour hardener plus a release agent for depth.
Placement and stamping
The slab is placed and finished to a flat, uniform surface, then stamped in sequence with detailing at edges and against walls where mats do not reach.
Sealing and maintenance
Stamped surfaces are sealed to bring out colour and protect the surface. Sealer wears over time and is periodically reapplied — plan on this as ongoing maintenance.
- Traction additive can be added to sealer for slip resistance
- Keep de-icing salt use to a minimum on decorative surfaces
- Reseal as the finish dulls
Commonly requested for
- Backyard patios
- Front entry areas
- Pool surrounds
