Poured Concrete Patios

A poured patio gives you a large, uninterrupted surface for seating, dining and outdoor kitchens without the joint lines of a paver field.
The two details that decide how a patio performs are drainage and jointing. Both are planned before a single form board goes in.
Sizing and layout
We plan the patio around furniture and door swings, then set the shape and elevations relative to the rear door threshold and the surrounding grade.
Drainage away from the home
Patios are pitched away from the foundation. Where the yard is flat or the patio is large, we discuss how surface water will be carried away before work starts.
Joint layout
Control joints are laid out on a planned grid so the panels look intentional. Concrete moves; joints tell it where to do so.
Finish options
Broom finish, exposed aggregate or stamped. Each has different texture, maintenance and cost, and we go through the trade-offs at the estimate.
