Formed steps with consistent rise and run, supported properly and finished with clean, square edges.
Steps are the most walked-on concrete on a property and the least forgiving. Uneven risers are both a trip hazard and the first thing people notice.
We calculate rise and run across the full flight so every step matches, then form and support the flight before placing concrete.
Consistent rise and run
The total height from grade to the door threshold is divided evenly so no single step is taller than the others, and tread depth stays consistent.
Support and reinforcement
Depending on height and conditions, steps are supported on compacted granular fill or footings, with reinforcement placed where the design requires it.
Finishing and safety
Treads receive a broom finish for traction, nosings are tooled, and we allow for railing installation where a railing is planned.
